MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that happened Friday night.
The incident happened inside of a home in the 7500 block of Bethel Church Road just after 8:30pm. Bibb deputies say 69-year-old Freddie Lee Battle was involved in an altercation with 60-year-old Christopher Leon Woods. Woods got a gun and shot Battle. Battle died on the scene.
A person of interest is in custody. No other information is available at this time.
