Traffic stop leads to exchange of gunfire with Bibb deputy

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating shooting incident that happened Wednesday afternoon in Macon.

Bibb deputies conducted a traffic stop around 5:00pm. During the traffic stop, the driver got out of the car and fired shots at the deputy. The deputy fired shots back at the driver. No one was injured.

The driver was arrested and taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained while resisting arrest. More details will be released once they become available.
