MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver who hit and killed a woman back in March.
46-year-old Tracie Yvonne Pitts is identified as the deceased. The accident happened on March 15, 2023 around 9:43pm on Rocky Creek Road. According to reports, the vehicle that hit Pitts originally left the scene and later returned. The owner of the vehicle met with Fatality Investigators and stated that a black male, who is a “shade tree” mechanic, and goes by the street name of “D”,or Debo was test driving her vehicle when the incident occurred. “D”or Debo returned the vehicle to the owner and stated that she needed to go to the scene on Rocky Creek Road.
Investigators believe the mechanic lives in the Bloomfield area and walks his pitbull daily near the Rocky Creek area. He is described as in his 30s, 5’6 tall, and weighs 160lbs.
