MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – Drivers were rerouted on interstate 16 Thursday afternoon after two vehicles collided, causing one person to die.
The accident happened around 1:24pm. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office’s, 42 year old Keith Bridgett of South Carolina, was driving a Dodge Ram with a trailer when he collided with a semi-trailer truck while traveling on Interstate 16- East. He died on the scene. The driver of the semi-trailer truck was not hurt.
This incident is currently under investigation. Anyone with information in reference to this fatal accident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a Fatality Investigator.
