One person dead, another injured in east Macon shooting

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A 23 year old male is dead and a 17 year old is in the hospital after a shooting happened Monday evening in east Macon.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred on Wallace Road near the intersection of Johnson Road around 7:17pm. When deputies arrived on scene, the 23 year old was unresponsive with a gunshot wound and the 17 year old was suffering from a gunshot wound. They were both taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. Medical staff pronounced the 23 year old dead. The second victim is in stable condition. Names of the victims have not been released.
