(KBTV)- October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
During the month of October, many spread awareness of risks, prevention, and treatment. According to the American Association for Cancer Research, breast cancer is second only to lung cancer as a cause of cancer death in American women.
Piedmont offers the following breast cancer services:

- Breast MRI
- Breast MRI Biopsy
- Breast Surgery
- Breast Ultrasound
- Digital Mammography
- Genetic Testing
- Sentinel Node Procedure
- Stereotactic Breast Biopsy
- Ultrasound Guided Biopsy
- In addition to weekdays, Piedmont Macon is offering mammogram screenings on Saturdays to patients who can’t get off from work or whose schedule won’t allow during the week. Weekday appointments are available from 8am to 4pm and Saturday appointments are available 8am to noon until December. To schedule an appointment, call 1-877-357-0161.
