(KBTV) – February is known as American Heart month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the country.
Medical professionals use the month of February to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms so others can maintain a healthy heart.
KBTV’s Dr. Karlisha Booze talked with Sirena Fritz, Director of Cardiovascular Services at Piedmont Macon, about the hot topic and also an upcoming heart screening event hosted by Piedmont.
