MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – Two kids are recovering from possibly drowning and one other kid died early Friday afternoon at Lake Tobesofkee.
The incident happened at 2:38p.m. at the Michael Dewayne Jones Public Fishing Area on Lake Tobesofkee. According to Bibb deputies, a 7 year-old male, 8 year-old male and 10 year-old male were in the water when they suddenly went under. Deputies and members of the Fire Department entered the water and recovered the 8-year-old male and 10 year-old male. They were taken to a medical facility for treatment. They’re in stable condition. The 7 year-old was pronounced dead on scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.
The incident remains under investigation.
