MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an inmate’s death that happened late Saturday night at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
According to reports, corrections deputies were notified shortly before midnight that an inmate had collapsed and was unresponsive in his cell. Medical staff at the jail performed life saving measures before he was taken to Atrium Health Navicent Hospital for treatment. He was pronounced dead by hospital staff.
An autopsy is pending. The deceased is 38 year old Mario Marquiz Clark. Clark was being held in the Bibb County LEC for Probation Violation, State court Bench warrant, Enticing a Child for Indecent purposes, and Public Indecency.
