MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – In an effort to reduce breast cancer deaths, medical experts encourage people to spread awareness of breast cancer in the month of October.
During the month of October, early detection and screening are constantly being promoted.
Piedmont Medical Centers are doing their part in spreading awareness during the month of October by hosting various events including scheduling of mammograms , yoga and nutrition classes.
KBTV’s Dr. Karlisha Booze talked with RN Kimberly Lewis, Manager of Oncology Services about the prevalence of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and more on Wellness Wednesday.
