18 year old shot and killed in east Macon

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting death that happened Wednesday morning in east Macon.

UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as Dekerrio Jamontez Cobb. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest. An image obtained from the business surveillance system is below.

Bibb deputies say the shooting happened in the 1900 block of Shurling Drive shortly before noon.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found an 18 year old male unconscious suffering from a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone pronounced him dead on the scene. The name of the deceased has not been released as of yet.
