MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Tuesday evening at the Economy Hotel on Pio Nono Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident was reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at approximately 7:22 p.m. Deputies responded to the Economy Hotel, located at 4295 Pio Nono Avenue, after receiving a call about a person who had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they found a male victim in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics took the victim to a hospital m, where he later died from his injuries. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. No other injuries were reported.
