(MACON, Georgia)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s helping finding the people who are throwing objects at cars traveling on the interstate.
So far, the sheriff’s office have received nine reports of individuals throwing debris off the roadway onto cars traveling I75 North near the Hardeman Avenue exit.
“That can cause distractions, that can cause accidents, that can cause fatal accidents. So you have a range of charges from reckless conduct, all the way to aggravated assault,” Lt. Sean Defoe explains.
Residents are speaking out and says this need to stop. Macon resident, Aubrey Patterson says he and his brother were victims Monday night when objects hit his car and damaged his sunroof and put a hole on the top off the car. Lt. Defoe says in 2019 two teenagers were arrested for this kind of misconduct.
