MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman was found dead in west Macon on Wednesday morning. The maintenance man found the 54 year old woman in her home around 9am in the Green Meadows Apartments located 3867 Log Cabin Drive.
Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones says the woman died of natural causes. He says everyone should check on their neighbors. He adds, people are quarantined due to the pandemic but a simple phone call or knock at the door makes a difference.
Jones says if you see a car parked at a neighbor’s house that hasn’t moved in a while or piles of mail, you should reach out.
According to Coroner Jones, there have been more people found dead in their homes within the last two weeks than during the summer.
