Pedestrian dies after hit and run

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who hit a pedestrian and drove away.

UPDATE: The woman has been identified as 35 year old Myeisha Veronica Glenn.

The accident happened Tuesday night around 8:47 p.m. in the 4800 block of Harrison Road. Deputies responded to the area of a person hit. Once they got to the scene, they found a woman laying in the roadway unresponsive. She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

It was reported that a man driving a white Tahoe or Suburban hit the woman. The Tahoe or Suburban is a 2000-2006 model and has damage to the front.

After the driver hit the woman, he stopped to check on her, then drove away. The driver is described as a slender male, wearing a white tank top.

The woman’s identity is being withheld until family is contacted. This collision is still under investigation.
