What’s happening weekend: Prince Tribute performance in Macon, May days on the Midway, drive tru vaccine clinic

Middle Georgia (KBTV)- Many people from all over attended the Purple Madness concert at the Society Garden in Macon. The event featured a recreation of the sights and signs of the beloved entertainer, Prince. The “must see” performance is something that many people had been anticipating all month long.

May Days on the Midway kicked off Thursday, May 20, 2021. The new event is being held at the Perry Fairgrounds. Over the weekend, the carnival had a large number of people in attendance. Some of the fair favorite foods, rides, and games are back. Admission is free. The carnival ends May 31st.

Atrium Health Navicent partnered with the Greater Warner Robins-National Panhellenic Council and local businesses to provide public COVID-19 vaccinations on Saturday, May 22, at South Peach Park in Fort Valley. Health experts say vaccinated individuals and those waiting to be vaccinated should continue to wearing a mask in public, social distancing and frequent hand washing.
