MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – An afternoon crash caused a man to die and a woman to be hospitalized.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 25 year old Darius Riley of Perry.
The accident happened Tuesday around 2:09 p.m. on Interstate 75 southbound near Eisenhower Parkway. Bibb deputies say a 25 year old male driving a Chevrolet SUV, was traveling south on Interstate 75 just before the Eisenhower entrance ramp, when his vehicle went off the roadway and hit a concrete median barrier. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Atrium Health Navicent where he was pronounced dead. The passenger, a 22 year old female was taken to the hospital for treatment and is in stable condition.
No names have been released until family is notified. The collision remains under investigation.
