Macon, Georgia (KBTV)- The Bibb County Sheriff’s Gang arrested two teens Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies were responding to a call of fired shots in the Pleasant Hill neighborhood. An investigator was on Third Avenue when the call came across the radio. After spotting the vehicle that fits the description as being driven, the investigator turned on the lights to initiate a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop and led authorities on a brief car chase which ended on Gillard street.
Investigators found two handguns, an ounce of marijuana, and a scale. One of the handguns were reported stolen. The driver, 19-year-old Khalil Malik Raines and the passenger 17-year-old Jalan Malik Young were arrested.
Raines is charged with Fleeing or Attempting to elude a police officer, Acquiring license plate for purpose of concealing identification of motor vehicle, Theft by receiving stolen property, (2 counts ) Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, /Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution, or Sale of Marijuana.
Young is charged for Theft by receiving stolen property, (2 counts ) Possession of a Firearm During a Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, /Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution, or Sale of Marijuana.
Raines and Young are currently at the Bibb County LEC without bond.
