Two Macon men arrested for drugs and guns

MACON, Georgia (KBTV)- Two men are behind bars after Bibb deputies found drugs and guns after issuing search warrants.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies executed search warrants on September 27, 2021. The first search warrant took place on McKenzie Avenue, 35-year-old Dion Omar Bennett, of Macon was arrested and was found in possession of a SCCY 9mm pistol that was reported stolen out of Houston County.

The second search warrant was served at an Atlantic Avenue address. 26-year-old Jamarcus Deshun Rozier, of Macon was arrested and was found in possession of 15 grams of the street drug called, “ecstasy”, a New England pump shotgun, a 7mm Winchester rifle, and a sawed-off shotgun. The sawed-off shotgun was reported to have its serial numbers removed.

Bennett was charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Felony), and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was also served with a warrant, unrelated to this incident,  for the charge of Failure to Appear. Bennett does not have a bond.

Rozier was charged with Purchase and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Schedule I or Narcotic in Schedule II and (3) counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission to Commit Certain Felonies. Rozier also does not have a bond.

Bennet and Rozier are currently in custody at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
