MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A teen was killed at a gas station in Macon Tuesday evening.
UPDATE June 9, 2022: Investigators identified 17-year-old Antonio King as one of the suspects in connection with Chatfield’s death and had a warrant issued for his arrest. Members of the United States Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force located King and took him into custody, without incident. King is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder).
UPDATE 10/18/21: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged two people on Monday afternoon. 24-year-old Andrew Raqati Hollis and 21-year-old Reshawn Taylor are both charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Felony-(Murder). Hollis and Taylor are currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond.
According to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones, 18 year Shamarian Chatfield was shot in his upper back at 3102 Napier Avenue shortly after 5pm. Chatfield was taken to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance where he later died. He was pronounced dead at 5:49pm.
Jones says this marks the 44th homicide in Macon this year. This is an ongoing investigation.
