Man arrested, two people injured in Fort Valley Shooting

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (KBTV) – A man is behind bars following a shooting that left two people injured Saturday morning.

Police responded to an aggravated assault call from 429 Campus Drive on Saturday at 10:30am. When they arrived, they found 22 year old Alpha Ousmane Dem shot in the upper torso and 22 year old Fenado Lequavius Burch shot in the lower torso.

Follow up investigation has led to the arrest of 44 year old Kenan Belton of Fort Valley. Belton was taken to the Peach County LEC. He will be charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Assault. Chief Lawrence Spurgeon stated,” This investigation is ongoing at this time.”
