MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A Byron woman died Tuesday morning at 9:15am at Atrium Health Navicent from injuries she received during a traffic accident in Macon.
The accident happened October 24, 2021 around 2pm on Eisenhower Parkway at I475 Northbound. 84-year-old Tilda Wilson was traveling east on Eisenhower Parkway in her Chevy Cobalt and was making a left turn onto the I475 northbound ramp when she was struck by a Ford Mustang, traveling west on Eisenhower Parkway. Wilson and the driver of the Mustang, a 35 year old from Fort Valley, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Wilson was pronounced deceased by Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley at the Atrium Health Navicent on Tuesday.
No charges have been filled. The collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
