Macon woman gets hit by car while crossing street, dies on scene

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman died Friday night after she was hit by a car while trying to cross a street.

Around 8:43p.m., 47-year-old Tawanda Faye Willis was attempting to cross Houston Road, from the Magnolia Court Motel and head towards the Jumbo Gas Station, when she was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle was traveling south bound on Houston Road. She died on the scene.

No charges have been filed. This incident is still under investigation.
