1 of 3 suspects arrested for breaking in cars at north Macon apartment complex

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – Bibb deputies have arrested one person in connection with entering autos at a north Macon apartment complex. Two others are being saught.

The incident happened the Park at Northside Apartments, located at 3876 Northside Drive at around 2:06 a.m. Friday morning. Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the apartment complex after receiving a call for 3 suspicious persons, entering automobiles. When deputies arrived on scene, the thieves spotted them and tried to run away. After a brief chase, one of the 3 suspects were caught.

Deputies arrested 19-year-old Tyrek Moore and transported him to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center. Moore was charged with (1) Count of Entering Automobile or other Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Theft or (Felony), and (1) Count of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (Felony). Moore currently does not have a bond.

Bibb deputies were able to find a stolen vehicle that the suspects used during the incident. This incident is still under investigation. If anyone has any additional information, please contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
