Reports of bomb threat on Fort Valley State University Campus

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (KBTV)- On February 1, 2022 around 6:00a.m, Fort Valley State University received notice of a bomb threat. Campus safety and law-enforcement are investigating and emergency notifications were sent out to the campus community.

UPDATE: FVSU lock down had been lifted.

The campus is currently on lockdown and residential students should shelter in place remaining in their residence hall. Non residential students and employees should NOT report to campus until further notice. All campus operations have been suspended for the day.

The investigation is still underway and once complete, alerts will be sent out.
