MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man and woman found shot to death inside a Macon hotel.
UPDATE: The incident is a murder-suicide. Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones has confirmed the deceased individuals as 43 year old Michael Reid of Merced, California and 44 year old Tammy Calhoun of Macon. Reid shot and killed Calhoun, then turned the gun on himself.
A call about a fatal shooting incident came in to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at around 2:19 p.m. on Wednesday at the OYO Hotel located at 4952 Romeiser Drive. Upon arrival, deputies found a male and a female with gunshot wounds inside of a room. The names of the deceased have not been released until family is notified.
