MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man died after he was hit by a car in Macon Saturday night.
The incident happened in the 3100 block of Hillcrest Avenue just after 10:00pm. Someone passing by called the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office reporting that a man was laying in the middle of the road unresponsive. When deputies arrived, they found a 53 year old man in the street. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by the Bibb County Deputy Coroner L. Miley.
According to reports, the driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, is a 26-year-old male. He was traveling east on Hillcrest Avenue when he hit the man. No one else was injured during the incident.
This incident is still under investigation.
