MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that left three people injured Monday night in south Macon.
UPDATE: It was reported that three male individuals later identified as 19-year-old Braxton Cole, 19-year-old Roderick Felton and 23-year-old Deroderick Collins were shot inside this location. 19-year-old Roderick Felton later died from his injuries. It was reported that Braxton Cole later died Tuesday morning from his injuries. Deroderick Collins is listed to be in stable condition. After further investigation and review of the surveillance video it was discovered that Braxton Cole approached Roderick Felton in the parking lot and then followed him inside the Food Mart. Cole exchanged words with Felton before pulling out a firearm. After Cole pulled his firearm and fired at Felton, Felton pulled his own firearm and fired back at Cole. Both Cole and Felton exchanged gunfire striking each other and Deroderick Collins, who was a by-stander in the store.
The shooting happened at the Friends Food Mart, located at 3350 Houston Ave around 8:47pm. It was reported that three people were shot inside the store and taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. No other information is available at this time.
