MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man died after being involved in a fatal traffic accident early Monday morning.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 33 year old Anthony Hill of Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, on Pio Nono Ave at its intersection with Rocky Creek Road just before 12:30am. It was reported that a Mercedes SUV and a Nissan Versa collided at the intersection. Witnesses say the Mercedes was traveling southbound on Pio Nono Avenue when the Nissan crossed the intersection and collided with the Mercedes. The male passenger of the Nissan was pronounced dead on the scene. The female driver of the Nissan was not hurt. The driver of the Mercedes was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The name of the deceased has not been released. The accident remains under investigation.
