MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident that left one person dead and one in the hospital Monday night.
The accident happened on Emery Highway at Fort Hill Street around 9:07pm. According to a police report, a Pontiac G8 was traveling west, towards Macon, on Emery Highway. and a Chevrolet Cruze was traveling east on Emery Highway at the same time. The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze attempted to make a left turn onto Fort Hill Street when the Chevrolet Cruze and Pontiac G8 collided. Both drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 72-year-old Lewis Moore died at the hospital. The driver of the Pontiac G8 is currently listed to be in stable condition.
