MACON,Georgia (KBTV)- An early morning car accident ended with a fatality.
The accident happened Sunday morning at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Northside Drive just before 11:00 a.m. It was reported that 84-year-old Daniel Edward Casey was going north on Riverside Drive when he went to make a left turn onto Northside Drive. Casey’s vehicle was hit by a Ford Escape going south on Riverside Drive, driven by a 64-year-old female of Macon.
Both drivers were taken to Atrium Health Navicent. Casey was pronounced dead by Atrium staff at 3:57 p.m. The woman is in stable condition at this time. No one else was injured in the collision. The family of Daniel Casey has been notified.
