UPDATE: Man arrested in Saturday night shooting

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a Macon man dead Saturday night.

UPDATE: Investigators identified 20-year-old Keondre Jonquez Clyde as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested inside of a home on Bailey Ave, just before 11:00p.m, Saturday night. He’s being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the charge of Murder.

The shooting happened in the 2900 block of Gordon Street just after 8:00p.m. Bibb deputies responded to a person shot call when they found 29-year-old Demonta Steve Clyde inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound. Clyde was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Luanne Stone.
