MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A 71 year old man died Wednesday night after he was hit by a car in east Macon.
The incident happened Wednesday, December 28, 2022 just before 9:30 p.m. on Emery Highway at Schaeffer Place. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevy pickup, driven by a 44-year-old male from Macon, was traveling west in the righthand lane on Emery Highway at Schaeffer Place when it collided with 71-year-old Larry Blash. It was reported that Blash had stepped into the roadway in front of the pickup. Blash was pronounced dead on the scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley.
No one else was injured during the incident.
