MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (KBTV) – A man and a woman have been arrested after drugs were found during a traffic stop in Monroe County.
A Monroe County Deputy stopped a Nissan Altima on I-75 North near mile marker 187 for several traffic violations on Monday, February 20, 2023. As he approached the vehicle, he smelled marijuana. The deputy proceeded to ask the driver and the passenger to exit the vehicle. The passenger, attempted to hop in the driver seat and drive off but the keys had been removed from the vehicle.
A vehicle search was conducted and 588 grams of Methamphetamine, 317 grams of Fentanyl and 28 grams of Marijuana were found inside of the car. The driver, Shatoya Frazier of Macon and the passenger, 36 year old Antonio Whitehead were arrested.


Frazier is charged with Driving with a Suspended License as well as other traffic violations. Whitehead is charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Fentanyl and Obstruction of an Officer. Whitehead is currently on Federal Probation for Trafficking Narcotics.
