MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office HEAT Unit arrested a Macon man after a high speed chase.
Around 8:28 a.m., deputies attempted a traffic stop on Forest Hill Road after clocking a vehicle speeding at 53 mph in a 35-mph zone. The driver, 32-year-old Johnny Arroyo Moss, initially pulled over on Old Lundy Road but fled, leading deputies on a pursuit through multiple streets before crashing into a utility pole on Vineville Avenue near Riverdale Avenue. Moss then attempted to escape on foot but was apprehended in a nearby apartment stairwell.
Moss was taken to Atrium Health for injuries before being transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He faces multiple charges, including felony fleeing, aggressive driving, and obstruction of law enforcement. He is being held without bond.
