MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
At approximately 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, corrections deputies discovered 62-year-old George Oliver Crafter unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services were immediately called to the scene and pronounced Crafter dead upon arrival. According to the facility’s medical staff, the inmate had a known history of extensive medical issues.
An autopsy is pending. The incident is being investigated by Internal Affairs Investigators from the Bibb Sheriff’s Office of Professional Standards.
