Macon man arrested in 2004 homicide cold case

A Macon man has been arrested in connection to a 2004 homicide cold case.

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man is behind bars after evidence revealed he is connected to a 2004 cold case.

39-year-old Terrance Bryant Dean, of Macon was arrested without incident on Friday, March 26, 2021 outside a home in the 500 block of Nelson Street around 12:00 p.m.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Investigator Malcolm Bryant was investigating the cold case homicide of 36 year-old Michael Glover since November 23, 2020. Investigator Bryant got an update that the evidence he provided, returned a positive match from Combined DNA Index System(CODIS) that matched the DNA of Dean.

Investigator Bryant was also able to issue warrants on Dean for a rape. During the arrest, investigators found 30 small bags that contained powdery substance in his pockets. Dean is currently at the Bibb LEC and charged with Murder, Rape, and Sale of a Controlled Substance. He has no bond.

U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force members assisted the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest.
