MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – On March 23, Springdale Elementary School was honored with the Lighthouse School status from Leader In Me.
This recognizes Springdale for its implementation of Leader In Me principles, including the “7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” in every phase of school life.
Lighthouse certification involves analysis of evidence provided by the school, as well as a site visit from the “Leader in Me” team.
“Our three-year journey with Leader in Me has been inspiring, and Springdale being named a Lighthouse School is one way of measuring our school family’s effectiveness in supporting students in becoming leaders of leaders,” says Dr. Cami Hilton, School Principal. He adds, the journey at Springdale Elementary School “continues.”
Springdale is the fourth district school to receive Lighthouse status following Bernd, Burdell-Hunt, and Sonny Carter elementary schools.
