Drive by shooting leaves women hurt, Bibb deputies investigating

A drive by shooting in east Macon leaves a woman injured.

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman is in the hospital after she was shot inside of her home Wednesday evening.

The incident happened in the 2400 block of Treadway drive in east Macon at 5:40 p.m. The victim was inside of her home with family when they heard shots being fired. She realized she had been shot in the leg and hand. She was taken to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment.

No description of the suspect was given to deputies but witnesses say after firing shots, the suspect drove off in a white vehicle.

Investigators found out that the victim’s son, 27 year old Davontae Stubbs started shooting back at the suspect in the vehicle. Stubbs hit two houses nearby that were occupied. Stubbs was arrested and charged with four counts of reckless conduct.
