MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A teen is dead after he was hit by a car early Sunday morning.
The accident happened in the 4400 block of Knight Road. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call around 12:30a.m. According to reports, 48-year-old Jason Ellis Partin was driving a Chevrolet 2500 north on Knight Road when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a parked F150 on the opposite side of the road.
The F150 was parked in front of a home. There were two passengers inside of the truck and one person standing outside of the vehicle.
The passengers were taken to the Atrium Health Navicent for non-life threatening injuries. The person standing outside of the truck died on the scene. The deceased is identified as 18 year old Tyler Hart.
Partin was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Once released, he was taken to the Bibb LEC and charged with Vehicular Homicide in the first degree.
The accident is under investigation. Anyone with any information in reference to the accident is asked to call The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 and ask to speak with a Fatality Investigator.
