MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man is dead after he was shot and killed at a gas station in east Macon.
UPDATED 5/3/21 A second person has been arrested. Investigators say 20 year old Jaravi Daevon Leathers Sr was with Williams at the Chevron gas station the night of the murder. Leathers is at the Bibb LEC without bond and charged with murder (party to a crime)
UPDATE: Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators along with members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 21-year-old Christian Desmond Williams at Green Meadows Apartment Complex. He’s currently at Bibb LEC without bond. Williams is charged with murder and four counts of Aggravated Assault.
The incident happened just before 10:00p.m. on Sunday at Chevron located at 584 Emery Hwy. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Greg Lamar Watkins Jr. was fatally shot by a person inside of the the store. He was taken to the Coliseum Medical Center by personal vehicle for treatment. Watkins was pronounced dead by the Bibb County Coroner.
No one else was injured in the incident. The suspect was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, camouflage pants, and white shoes.
