MACON, Georgia (KBTV) An early morning shooting leaves a Macon man in critical condition.
UPDATED 5/10/21: The person of interest, 39-year-old Alvin Wendell Clowers Jr., of Macon is now in custody. Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators along with members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, and the Eatonton Police Department located and arrested Clowers at a residence in Eatonton, Georgia, without incident.
UPDATE: The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a person of interest. He is a black male, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, black head covering, and white tennis shoes. He was last seen driving a maroon colored Lincoln Town car with a beige vinyl roof. (Photos below)
Around 3:15a.m. on Saturday, two men were arguing inside of Murphy gas station located at 1402 Gray Highway. During the argument, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the other man.
The victim, 33-year-old Jonathon Billingslea was taken to the Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance where he is listed in critical condition. No one else was injured.
