Northeast Teacher Named District Teacher of the Year

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A Northeast High School teacher was named district teacher of the year at Thursday’s convocation.

LaTanya Singleton Clark is the district’s 2022 Bibb County Teacher of the Year. Clark has been teaching in the district since 2016. She’s also a 1992 graduate from Northeast. Clark is Northeast’s CTAE Healthcare Sciences Teacher and serves as the school’s CTAE Department Chair and as a Teacher Support Coach.

Clark says, “Now that I have experienced the joys of teaching and learning, I can truly say I have arrived at a place of satisfaction and am proud to serve with the District that provided me with a solid education. I am proud to be a teacher at my alma mater.”

The runner-up was Lacey Barnes from Burdell-Hunt Magnet School.
