MACON, Georgia(KBTV)- A Southwest High School was chosen to serve on State Superintendent Richard Woods’ Student Advisory Council.
The student is senior, Altaron Palmer Jr. Student Advisory Council is a group that meets twice a year and helps with state decisions.
The principal Bernard Young says, “Mr. Palmer is a true servant leader who leads by example, an astute scholar and the epitome of Patriot PRIDE.”
Palmer also has a 3.87 GPA, which is good enough for the top 10 in Southwest’s senior class. He also plays center on the football team while also serving as a student government senior class representative.
