MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal collision that happened early Sunday morning on Eisenhower Parkway, near its intersection with Laveta Drive.
The collision was called into the Macon-Bibb 911 Center at 12:38 a.m. Reports state a 2018 Dodge Charger was traveling east on Eisenhower Parkway and collided with a parked 2007 Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda was identified as 22-year-old Sonny Chatman. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance where he later died. The driver of the Dodge Charger was not hurt.
There are no charges or citations at this time. Anyone with information in reference to this fatal collision is urged to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500.
