MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman was caught early Friday morning trying to break into a Family Dollar store in west Macon.
According to reports, around 5:26am, Bibb deputies were patrolling the 2400 block of Pio Nono Avenue when they saw the front glass of the Family Dollar located at 2495 busted out. Deputies approached the business and noticed 31 year old Jaleise Chanel Mintz pulling a crate full of items from the store. Mintz saw deputies and tried to run but was caught.
Mintz was taken to Bibb LEC and booked on two burglary charges. She was served with an arrest warrant for a commercial Burglary that occurred in August of 2020. Mintz is being accused of breaking into a store located in the 1200 block of Anthony Road and stealing lottery tickets. She has no bond.
