MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A man is dead after he was hit by a car Tuesday night.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 43-year-old Jin Hau Thang of Gwinnett County.
Bibb deputies got a call about a stalled car in the roadway on Hawkinsville road near the Monarca Ballroom just before 10:30pm. Once they arrived on scene, witnesses informed deputies that a man was laying in the roadway. Deputies were also told that a car passing by struck the man while he was standing near the stalled vehicle. The male was pronounced dead on the scene by Coroner Lonnie Miley.
The female driver who hit the man did stop and was not injured. There are no charges or citations at this time. The accident remains under investigation.
