HOUSTON COUNTY, GA (KBTV)- William Basby, II, Assistant Principal of Discipline at Northside Middle School, recently received the Mike Campbell Emerging Leader Award.
The Mike Campbell Emerging Leader Award is presented annually by the Georgia Association of Middle School Principals (GAMSP). This award recognizes assistant principals within their first three years of leadership for their proven commitment to their students and their overall success.
Dr. Dustin Dykes, principal at Northside Middle and secretary/treasurer for GAMSP says, “Mr. Basby is a great leader for our young people.” Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Basby has completed the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders Aspiring Principals Program and the Houston County Leadership Development Program. He also started a mentoring program, Successful Sirs, for our young men. The school and this community appreciate Mr. Basby’s work!”
The Annual GAMSP awards program, sponsored by AIG Retirement Services, was held Sunday, October 24, 2021, in the Grand Ballroom of the Legacy Lodge at Lake Lanier Islands.
