MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A fatal traffic accident is under investigation after a motorcycle died from the crash.
The accident happened Monday afternoon at 4:48 p.m. on Rocky Creek Road at Lions Place. According to reports, a 24 year old female driving a Honda Accord was making a left turn off of Lions Place to go east on Rocky Creek Road when a motorcyclist driving a Kawasaki Ninja ZX600 was traveling west on Rocky Creek Road struck the side of the Honda. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on scene by Deputy Coroner Luann Stone. The driver of the Honda was taken to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment and is in stable condition.
The motorcyclist has been identified as 40-year-old Jason Alford Bennett of Macon. No one else was injured.
