Woman wanted for forgery and identity theft

MACON, Georgia (KBTV) – A woman is being saught for stealing the identity of an individual and making fraudulent transactions at local banks.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the incidents happened between December 1, 2021 and December 2, 2021, at a local bank in Macon-Bibb, and another in Milledgeville Georgia. Once the victim discovered that their identity was being used, they notified the sheriff’s office on December 3, 2021.

Reports state the suspect assumed the identity of an account holder and forged their signature withdrawing cash and writing several fraudulent cashier’s checks. The individual is described as an older white female with long dark hair blond on the top, wearing a burgundy shirt, light blue face mask, and a dark or black colored sweater.
